Below you can see some snapshots of the fuselage with the two sides clecod in place onto the bottom of the fuselage.
Unfortunately, my wife who is the ostensible owner of the Zenith, and I put the two side panels in place on the 3rd but I had forgotten to turn on the surveillance system so the snapshots below are of the sides already in place and some staged on the 23rd with my wife inserting clecos.
Zenith say in the related IPL file this is a two person job. I imagine there is a way you can do this on your own but the risk of creasing the sides is pretty high so it isn’t something I would recommend at all. Get help. Even with two of you it isn’t that easy because of the way the sides flap around as you are trying to get them properly aligned into the longerons.
At this time you will see that I did not put any rivets in place on the sides in case I decided to remove them when I was installing the controls because some of the controls could be a pain in the neck to install with the sides already riveted into place.
Another short break ensued while we travelled to California and then to Mexico MO to pick up the controls kit.
